Hayward New Start Tattoo Removal
The Hayward New Start Tattoo Removal Project
For Hayward youth (ages 13 to 25) who want to move their lives in a positive direction, the Hayward New Start Tattoo Removal Project removes visible drug- or gang-related tattoos, while also helping youngsters continue their education and get a good job.
St. Rose Hospital is one of the participating sponsors of this Project, in a cooperative effort with the City of Hayward, Eden Youth & Family Services and Kaiser Permanente of Hayward.
Tattoos are removed through a laser process that breaks up the pigment of the tattoo and causes it to fade over the course of multiple treatments. The process takes 4 to 10 sessions, depending on the size, quality and colors of the tattoo.
