I’ve already pre-registered. Do I need to check-in somewhere when I’m ready to deliver?
If you’ve already pre-registered and you go into labor, simply come up to the Family Birthing Center, and we’ll be ready and waiting for you.

What should I bring with me to the hospital?
Along with your essential toiletries, you may want to bring a gown that unbuttons in the front (to make breast-feeding easier), a robe, slippers and any other items that will make your stay comfortable. If you do bring electrical appliances such as hair dryers, they will need to be evaluated by our engineering staff before use.
Please be sure to have your family bring an outfit for your newborn to wear home, a baby blanket, and an appropriately sized car seat to safely transport your baby. (California Law requires all infants to be properly restrained in an approved car seat.)

What about cameras or camcorders?
Feel free to bring cameras or camcorders to record this special time. However, the use of cameras and/or camcorders during the actual birth process is at the discretion of the physician.

How do I get a copy of my baby’s birth certificate?
You’ll receive a complimentary copy of your baby’s birth certificate as a keepsake of your baby’s birth. However, this certificate is not a certified copy of record. You should request a certified copy of the birth certificate from:
